We offer many rewarding opportunities for you to get involved and help others in our community.
Adult Education
This program relies on community volunteers who use their unique skill set to provide life skill or job readiness training. If you are interested in leading a class, please contact Linda at (479) 521-4000 or linda@lifesourcenwa.org.
Examples of classes:
English as a second language (need to provide curriculum)
Computer skills – basic and intermediate
Personal financial management
Resume/application skills
Interviewing skills
Preparing meals on a tight budget.
Food Pantry/ Warehouse
The food pantry is open Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings from 8:30-11:30 am.
Individual volunteers can drop-in between the hours of 8:30 am - 2:00 pm Monday - Friday and will be assigned a task. Group volunteers need to contact Linda at 479-521-4000 or linda@lifesourcenwa.org to set up a date(s) and time for their group.
Duties:
Sort and bag food
Sort clothes
Sort and stock food pantry
Miscellaneous warehouse duties
Kid’s Life After School Program
Offered during the fall/spring semesters - based on the Fayetteville Public School (FPS) yearly calendar. Volunteers needed Monday - Friday between the hours of 3:00 - 5:30 pm. If FPS is closed, our after-school program is closed - this also applies to snow days. To schedule a date to volunteer, please go to https://www.givepulse.com and search for Kid’s Life After School.
Duties:
Help students with homework
Assist students with math and reading skills
Interact and build relationships with students during free play
Assist with set-up and clean-up
Senior Saturdays
1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month, 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. This is a group volunteer opportunity, if you are interested in scheduling a group, please contact Linda at 479-521-4000 or linda@lifesourcenwa.org.
Duties:
Assist with meal preparation
Set tables
Serve food
Interact with seniors
Clean up afterward
